be yourself in batam!

Actually, I picked up this line from the place that I'd spent for few days in Batam. What does it mean, by the way? Well, I have no idea. But, I figure it out that maybe it's not just the line.

On my first night, my office mates went to the beach to see what the water front city looks like at night (weird, eh?) And me?? Huh. Because of my gak meaning habit, as a damn-perfectionist-freak, I had to stay late at my senior's room to prepare all the material for discussion the next day. End well? Hell, yeah :p.

Then, I met with our ex-most eligible bachelor in campus, Mr. Smart-good looking-funny guy, Fanny. He's with his wife, Diah, and their two adorable children, Nissa [an angel] and Mirza [the next Mr. Cosmo] .
If someone says that Fanny is fat, you can go wrong!
He's as fine as me :p
By the way, Fanny and Diah drove me around.
For someone who never go abroad like me, facing the beach for getting sight-seeing to Singapore was totally awesome!
I don't wanna talk about Batam, because actually I didn't visit all the place in there. But, I was impressed to find there's a Surabayan food in the corner at Nagoya.

I met Yudi gemphil in the next day. Actually, it was an accident. I have a desire to visit Fanny and Diah's place, but unfortunately, there was a trouble with the electricity in their neighborhood. The PLN got the feeling there was something like coup d'etat in Batu Aji (Fanny's place) to plan a kind of demonstration about free trade zone, so they need to shut down the power for blocking all the meeting :p. Hehehe.....

Instead of knowing the rule in this authorized zone, I'm so envy with the prize of the cars! Omigod, Camry is everywhere. And don't mention about CRV's. It makes me feel so "why-not-me" thing :(

Fanny and Diah asked me to go to Aik's place. Because the place is not rather too far from the hotel that I stay.
And yeah, all the de ja vu...
But wait, I think I've lost in there. They are couples! Hehehe...
You know what? They had been called parents already.
But me? Just twenty-something guy. No house, no wife, no children.
So, you guys...please let's get married. It has been too long for us, eh?!

Tuesday, I left Batam to Palembang [work, huh].
But, on monday night I have no time to go shopping for some shirts called "Remember Batam, forget Singapore!".
I forgot totally about it, because I'm too happy to walk around with the Batamers.
But luckily, in the airport there's a duty free shop. They sell all those shirts. Almost with the same price in Nagoya.
Hehehe, lucky me, baby.

Any way, thanks for the Batamers, and especially for Fanny and Diah who treat me so well. They said that maybe in the end of January 2005, they will plan to go to Jakarta!

Can't hardly wait seeing you guys in Jakarta, Fan :)
